Eccolo, un cassetto da tipografo che necessita giusto di una piccola pulitura con la Lesssive St. Marc, così mi ha detto la signora che lo vendeva.

Da allora il cassetto si trova pulito e incerato su un mobile, proprio di fronte alla poltrona dove mi siedo per ricamare alla sera. Niente di meglio che averlo sott'occhio per decidere come riempire tutte le caselline di cui è composto.

Non ci ho messo molto per scegliere il tema: mi piacciono i soggetti floreali ed ho pensato ad un giardino.....del tipografo. E così poco per volta ecco che sbocciano fiori che altrimenti sarebbero finiti in un cassetto e che ora danno un senso a ciò che ricamo.

The lady who sold this drawer underlined that it's in very good conditions and that it needed just a washing. I've been looking for it for awhile so I've simply bought it and, of course, washed it.

Now it sits just in front of the armchair where I sit every evening for some relaxing stitching.

I've chosen the theme and, because of my love for flowers, the title is "in the garden of the printer".

It grows slowly and often it gives a sense to my embroideries that so many times are put away in a drawer.
